Where the Wild Things Are

The children’s book is somewhat terse. The film is anything but. Considering this disparity, one might question the ability of a full-length film to tell a story from a book with only a handful of sentences. Never fear: Dave Eggers is here.  His writing shines. And the direction is illustrative of the wonder of a child’s imagination.  Impeccable casting and equally as impressive acting make for one of the year’s best films.
